I immigrated to Canada over 25 years ago from Syria, and am a loving husband and proud father of four. I was Raised in the Credit Woodlands area of Mississauga, I’m an active Ward 7 resident—investing whatever free time I have to the benefit of our community – and I am humbled to have been recognized for my volunteerism in the community.

I have been called upon by various ministers and government agencies to lend my expertise regarding refugee affairs – providing personal and professional advice when needed. I have also worked as Sub/UN Worker at Syrian Refugee Camps in Turkey and Jordan and as an academic instructor at the CCCT Academy.

I am the founder and current Executive Director of SAV Canada, an organization borne out of the Syrian refugee crisis that has grown to now serve all immigrants and newcomers. I also serve as President of the Syrian Community Centre, while serving on the boards of many other local organizations here in Mississauga and across the GTA.

Whether you live in Fairview, Cooksville, Credit Valley, or anywhere in between, on October 22nd a vote for me is a vote for a councillor who will work on your behalf to deliver results for Ward 7.

“Giving back to the community has been my life’s passion. If given the honour of serving you as your city councillor, I will tirelessly work for a future where all our voices are heard and Ward 7 gets what it rightfully deserves.”
